Scholarships for Masters and Ph.D. Students

Starting autumn 2007, Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) will annually support a total of 584 scholarships in 81 "International Priority Graduate Programs" at 42 Japanese universities.  Many of the designated university programs offer related coursework in English.  Scholarships provide international airfare, stipend and tuition for selected international students enrolling in masters and doctoral degree programs.  Students should communicate directly with the university contact person listed for each program of interest.  See http://www.mext.go.jp/a_menu/koutou/ryugaku/kokuhi/tokubetu/07032702.htm.
