S&T-related Budget for JFY2004
- Quick Summary -

Following the budget requests submitted by the agencies/ministries at the end of August 2003 (a translation of the quick compilation of the S&T-related budget requests released in September 2003 is on http://www.nsftokyo.org/rm03-09.html), the CSTP (Council for the Science and Technology Policy) reviewed and ranked the requests http://www.nsftokyo.org/rm03-10.html Based on the rating, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) reviewed the requests and decided the almost final figures for JFY2004 budgets. Of them the science and technology-related budgets compiled by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) are cited as below. The total requested amount of Yen 3,996.8 billion was decreased to Yen 3,626.1 billion.
